Bharati Kolte, MD
Founding physician. Sees patients with a team of Nurse Practitioners

Dr. Bharati Kolte was born in Nagpur, a mid-sized city in central India. She studied medicine at the Government Medical College, Nagpur and completed her residency from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has practiced in Texas since 2000. For the first 13 years, she practiced hospital-based medicine at the Heart Hospital of Austin, Seton Medical Center, and other hospitals in the Austin area. While providing care for chronically ill patients in Austin Regional Clinic's Advanced Care Coordination Clinic from 2011 to 2013, she became acutely aware of the need to help patients change their lifestyle to successfully treat multiple chronic diseases. This experience inspired her to change her career path from hospital medicine to outpatient medicine and start Flora Medical Clinic in 2014.

In 2017, Dr. Kolte became Board Certified in Lifestyle Medicine to use lifestyle modification for prevention and treatment of lifestyle diseases.

Dr. Kolte lives in Austin with her husband, 2 children, and their dog. When not in the clinic, she loves to sing, cook, and spend time with her family and neighbors.

Mindy Tran is an AANP board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor's in Nursing at the University of Texas at Austin and her Master's in Nursing at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. Through caring for patients with multiple chronic conditions in the hospital setting she saw the increasingly pressing need for primary preventative measures. Mindy changed her lifestyle and diet to more wholesome and plant based foods in 2016 and is transitioning out of the hospital and into the primary care setting in hopes of helping patients through their own health and wellness journey at the preventative level.

She recognizes individuals as multifaceted and complex, taking into account the mind, body, and spirit when addressing patients' health and well-being. "My main objective is to educate patients, providing them with the tools necessary to make empowered decisions and take control of their health. I also want to impart a sense of genuine caring and compassion to bring patients comfort and provide the best possible healthcare experience."
